Rocking a Modest White Dress

Celebrities love white dresses and it's easy to see why, a crisp white dress gives you a clean polished look. White looks great year round and it is especially suited for warmer whether. Looking fabulous in a white dress is all about letting the dress stand out. Here are a few tips so you can rock a modest white dress like a celeb:

    Always wear black or nude
    slip to prevent clinging and
    being able to see through.
  • Always, always wear a slip, even if the dress has a lining. White tends to be see through especially in the sun and if you rather not show off your undergarments then need to wear a slip. A slip will also prevent your dress from clinging which you'll want because white is less forgiving than other colors and any clinging to your body will be more noticeable. Choose a black or nude color for your slip and underwear as white tends to show up more clearly under white.
  • Pair with metallic, neutral or black heels for a classic look. Go for a bold striking shoe to make a statement.
  • Keep your makeup and accessories minimal to go with the fresh look a white dress give you.
  • Know where you're going and who you'll be with. The beauty of a white dress comes from it remaining white. If you're going somewhere or doing something that may get your dress dirty or if you'll be around young kids you'll probably want to skip wearing white.

  1. I love and hate white dresses... they're so beautiful when they're new, but they end up looking not-so-new so easily. I suppose I'd be more keen on them if I had the money to buy lots of dresses.
