Adrianna Papell Lace Fit & Flare Dress
A cute flirty LBD is a necessity in every womens closet. We hoped we'd found one when we saw this Adrianna Papell lace dress on the rack. So we had fashion designer Nicole Larson try it on and give us her expert feedback. On a scale of 1 to 4 the Lace Fit & Flare dress got a 2, here's why:
- Fit - This dress has a simple sheath shape done right. It has room for your torso and hips without clinging or pulling which is great for both straight and curvy women. The dress is very comfortable and on the back it has a small kick pleat for ease of movement. A generous exposed back zipper also makes this dress easy to get in an out of. Overall this dress has great fit and gets a star.
- Quality - This dress is well made of light weight fabric that has some structure and stiffness so it wont cling to your body. The fabric feels soft and durable to the touch with just a slight bit of stretch. The detail on the dress is also well done with solid trim around the neck and electric green side paneling and exposed back zipper which is very on trend. It does come with a thin belt that seemed like an afterthought since the dress looks better without it. Overall this dress is good quality and gets a star.
- Coverage - This dress has a high neckline that covers your collarbone but only small cap sleeves. Although the dress is a good length hiting right at the knee the bottom 6 inches have alternating see-thourgh lace stripes. This dress does not meet our requirements for medium coverage and it doesn't get a star.
- Price - A very feminine dress with good quality and fit however without even meeting our medium coverage level at $178 this dress is not worth it. No star.
Nicole is wearing size 6. She is 5'6 tall and her measurements are: Bust 32 inches, Waist 25.5 inches, Hips 35 inches. This dress in different color combinations is available at Nordstroms.
